At Friends of the North Highland Way, we are more than just a name. We’re a team of passionate individuals committed to making a difference. Our mission is to provide a route across the north of Scotland which will be the only multi use route in Scotland.

You get to Orkney on Northlink, and even if you don’t, you can still buy their products. You can also help use here if you are crossing from Scrabster to Stromness.

You can help us collect figures for people who cross to and from St. Margarets’s Hope to Gills Bay as a foot passenger here.

We look at an amazing route across country from the Moray Firth Trail to a rural retreat which was part funded by Tescos in 2023, and from there to the North Highland Way. You have to be a Friend of the North Highland Way to access this information.
