Spanish Insight is just one of the magazines on subscription overseas. The other is Environmental News.

When it comes to sustainable tourism and the environment, Spanish Insight leads the field. In 2021, 8 local businessmen and the author launched a project to put Competa in the foothills of the Sierras Almijaras, Andalucia, firmly on the environmental map. We were rewarded with Malaga Hills B&B and Boutique hotel taking up the mantle, which was fantastic, as they are in Competa. We now have the Hispanic Society of Carrickfergus. We will need Spanish teachers. Contact us with your cv. Preferably you will be a Spanish national with teaching experience.

The eight businessmen were Sergio Fernandez, his brother Cele, Jan Schmidt, Country Properties, Viveros Florena Garden Centre, Rosada la Plaza and the enthusiastic and clever Ana Maldanado of the Phone Shop in Competa. This was not the first time we had brought the north to the south. In 2008 we even launched a magazine.
